Come celebrate a new year of hope for survivors of human trafficking in Uganda, Africa at the first annual Freedom Gala. The event will host a full banquet, silent auction and a special presentation by Hope’s Cry International.

Hope’s Cry, a non-profit based in Hammond, LA, has been working in Africa for the past decade. In 2022, they opened the Hope Center, the only local aftercare center for survivors of human trafficking in the Karamoja region of Uganda. Over 70% of all trafficking in Uganda comes from Karamoja, yet there hasn’t been any localized solution to help rehouse and resettle survivors from this area.

This year’s Freedom Gala will celebrate the impact of the Hope Center in 2023 and raise support for the 2024 operating budget and expansion plans. Together, we can end trafficking in Karamoja.
