In Esther 4:14, Mordecai tells Esther that maybe the reason she came to the palace and became queen was, “for such a time as this.” God had been preparing her for a watershed moment when He would use her to deliver her people.

Now, as we launch the Hope Center, God has sent us several amazing deliverers to be part of our amazing team. These incredible staff members have been working to deliver the oppressed from among their own people for years. We believe God has brought them to us, with their many years of experience, for such a time as this.

HCI co-founder, Michelle Allen, with Property Manager, Herbert Opolot and HR Manager, Gabriel Matovu

Herbert Opolot, our Hope Center Property Manager and Head Of Security, is our longest-tenured employee and has truly become our trusted partner and friend. He manages the daily operations of the Hope Center facility and grounds, while also coordinating security and aiding in developing our self-sustainability projects.
Gabriel Matovu, our HR & Finance Manager, started as a driver for our short-term mission teams. We quickly recognized his potential and have gradually elevated him into roles that maximize his skillset and abilities. Most recently, he has served a major role in distributing food during our COVID relief initiaive and facilitated our school meal program at our local school.
Lillian Ayello has been a key contributor for our partner organization, Everfree, for many years. She was supposed to be managing another new initiative in a different country, but in God’s plan, she has come to us instead. She will be managing the shelter program, as our Technical Director, for the first year as we train a full-time Program Manager.
Esther Chalangat comes to us from our partner organization, Everfree, as well. She will be serving as Case Manager for the survivors participating in the program. Esther will fill a vital role for our shelter program, especially in the early days, to make sure our survivors have the best chance to stay forever free.
