The Sutton Family

For 13 years, Andrew and Rachael Sutton felt the call of God to serve on the foreign mission field. In 2013, Andrew and his oldest daughter, Bailey, went with Hope’s Cry to help with the construction of Hope Children’s Village. Andrew was so moved by the experience of the trip that he and his wife Rachael returned the following year. During that summer trip, they fell in love with Uganda and the amazing people there.

In 2016, Hope’s Cry placed the Sutton family on the field in Uganda. Andrew and Rachael and their four girls, Bailey, Andrea, Hannah, and Lilly now live in Soroti, Uganda working with HCI and Hope Children’s Village. Andrew is a general contractor by trade and oversees Hope’s Cry construction and agricultural projects. He has also begun training pastors and church leaders in the Teso region. Rachael is a teacher and works with the children of Hope. Rachael is also actively involved in Straightway, a local ministry outreach that prevents child trafficking and helps young girls stay in school.
