    Straightway Education Project

The AIDS epidemic has ravaged much of Africa, including the area where Hope’s Cry works in Uganda. Unfortunately, many young women simply do not know how to practice proper hygiene and protect themselves from deadly diseases like AIDS.

Straightway is on a mission to change that for thousands of teenage girls.

And [Jesus] said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.– Mark 5:34

The Straightway Education Project was established to teach young women basic hygiene and purity of body and mind. There are currently 135 students enrolled in the program receiving education and resources, including hygiene products. Our goal through Straightway is to train a generation of mothers who will pass on what they have learned to their children, making Uganda a safer, healthier place to live.
